Question 1

Which countries does Velantra Education advise on?

Accepted Answer

We advise students who want to study at university in Poland and Hungary. We look at your field of interest, your academic background, your English level and your budget together, and identify the universities and programmes that suit you. What support you get at the application, visa and settling in stages depends on the service you choose.

Question 2

Is the first consultation free?

Accepted Answer

The first conversation is free. In it we talk through your study goals, where you are now and your budget, and work out which options are worth considering. If you want to continue with us, you can then find out what the advisory service covers and what it costs, and decide from there.

Question 3

How does Velantra help during the application?

Accepted Answer

We guide you through choosing a university and programme, checking the application documents, keeping to the application calendar, preparing for the visa and planning accommodation. Which steps you handle and which we handle is set out in the service you choose. Decisions on university admission and on official applications rest with the institutions concerned.

Question 4

I have not chosen a subject or a country yet. Can we still talk?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You do not need to arrive having settled on a university or a subject. We can narrow the options by talking about the subjects you enjoy, your career goals, your language level and your budget. We compare universities on programme content, entry requirements, city and total cost, not on rankings alone.

Question 5

Can I apply without an IELTS or TOEFL certificate?

Accepted Answer

You can start preparing, but which language evidence is needed for admission and for the visa has to be checked separately. IELTS and TOEFL may not be the only options, though the accepted alternatives depend on the country, the programme and the current rules. For Poland in particular you should not assume a university interview alone will be enough. We look at the documents you hold and identify what still needs completing.

Question 6

Will a degree from Poland or Hungary be valid in Turkey?

Accepted Answer

A university being recognised by YÖK and your diploma being granted equivalence when you graduate are two different things. Equivalence is assessed on the institution, the programme, the mode of study and the conditions that apply. Fields that carry professional licensing can have additional requirements. Before you choose, check the institution’s recognition status and the current equivalence conditions for your intended profession through YÖK’s own official channels.

Question 7

What documents are needed to apply in Poland and Hungary?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the level you are applying to, the core documents are a secondary school or university diploma, a transcript, a passport and evidence of language ability. Depending on the programme, a motivation letter, a reference, a portfolio or an additional test result may also be requested. The exact list, including translation, apostille and diploma assessment steps, follows the chosen university and its current application rules.

Question 8

Can I study in Poland or Hungary without taking the YKS?

Accepted Answer

There is no single answer that holds for every student and every programme. The admission conditions of the university abroad, whether your diploma evidences the right to enter higher education, and the YÖK recognition and equivalence conditions that may matter later in Turkey are assessed separately. So it is better not to proceed on the assumption that the YKS is never required, and to check the current conditions for your target programme and your own situation before applying.

Question 9

Can I apply if my grade average is low?

Accepted Answer

There may well be suitable options, and the chance of admission does not rest on the overall average alone. A university may also weigh your marks in the relevant subjects, your language ability and, where there is one, an entrance examination or interview result. We check the minimum requirements of the programme you are aiming at first, then compare alternatives that fit your academic record.

Question 10

Can I take a preparatory year if my English is not strong enough?

Accepted Answer

Preparatory and language course options can be considered at the institutions that offer them. Their entry level, length, fee and the conditions for progressing to a bachelor’s or master’s programme all differ. Being accepted onto a preparatory course does not mean automatic admission to the following programme, nor a guaranteed visa. Language progress, the degree you are aiming at and the relevant visa conditions need planning together.

Question 11

When should I start applying?

Accepted Answer

Beginning your research and document preparation a few months before your intended start gives you room for examinations and official procedures. There is no single common deadline; calendars vary by university, by programme and by application route. Alongside the university deadline, allow time for submitting documents, making payments, the visa and accommodation.

Question 12

How long does an admission decision take?

Accepted Answer

Assessment time varies with the university, the programme, whether the file is complete and how many applications are in hand. Some programmes run an examination, an interview or a batched assessment calendar. So we cannot give one figure that covers every application. We work to the calendar the university publishes and follow up any further document requests and next steps.

Question 13

Do you guarantee admission to a university?

Accepted Answer

No. The university makes the admission decision, and no advisory service can guarantee it. Our job is to help you identify options that suit your profile, prepare your documents correctly and keep to the application steps on time. Before you apply to a programme we go through its conditions and the alternatives openly with you.

Question 14

Does an offer from a university guarantee a student visa?

Accepted Answer

No. University admission and visa assessment are separate processes. Alongside the offer letter, the financial, language, insurance and other conditions the country requires must also be met. Velantra provides guidance during preparation within the service you choose; the visa decision rests with the competent authority. You should not assume a visa will follow from an offer letter.

Question 15

Do you help with finding a dormitory or a flat?

Accepted Answer

Within the accommodation support we help you weigh dormitory and flat options against your budget, the university’s location and your preferences. Places and availability change during the year. Before booking it is worth going through the rent, the deposit, the bills, transport and the contract terms together. What the accommodation support covers, and any related payments, are set out separately in the service you choose.

Question 16

Is there support after I arrive?

Accepted Answer

Settling in and post arrival support is planned according to the service you choose. We can talk in advance about what you need help with: moving into accommodation, university registration steps, and adjusting to daily life. Whether services such as airport pick up or residence permit support are included, and for how long, is worth settling before you travel.

Question 17

What does studying in Poland or Hungary cost in total?

Accepted Answer

The total depends on the university, the subject, the city and your accommodation choice. Alongside tuition, your budget needs to include rent or a dormitory place, the deposit, food, transport, insurance, the visa, document procedures and travel. If you are using an advisory service, count its fee separately as well. The most reliable comparison is one made across the same academic year and the same cost items.

Question 18

Do the fees on the site include accommodation and other costs?

Accepted Answer

Unless a programme page says otherwise, you should not read the figure given as annual tuition as a total living budget. Accommodation, application, registration and other costs can be separate. It is also worth checking which academic year, which student category and which payment period the fee applies to. For the exact amount, the university’s current fee announcement and payment conditions are what count.

Question 19

Can I get a scholarship or a tuition discount?

Accepted Answer

University scholarships, merit discounts or separate scholarship programmes may be among the options. Eligibility varies by citizenship, academic record, programme and application period. A scholarship application can run on a different calendar from the university application. Do not build your budget assuming a scholarship before the result is confirmed; check its scope, the conditions for keeping it, and the costs it does not cover.

Question 20

Are fees refunded if the visa is refused or I withdraw?

Accepted Answer

Not every payment carries the same refund terms. The university, the accommodation provider, the official application centre and the advisory service can each have separate rules. A right to a refund is assessed on the type of payment, the reason for cancelling, the date of application and the contract concerned. Before paying, review the refund terms, any deductions and any applicable deadlines in writing.
